The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) is proud to recognize the outstanding contributions of its officials with the announcement of the 2025-26 National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) Officials of the Year. Each year, the NFHS Officials Association honors one official in each sport per state with its highest accolade—the Official of the Year Award.

The Springfield Sports Commission was presented with the Mal Mayse Distinguished Service Award during the MSHSAA Baseball Championships at Ozark Mountain Sports Complex.

Terry Kasper was presented with the Mal Mayse Distinguished Service Award during the 2026 MSHSAA Baseball Championships.

Mike Agers was presented with the Mal Mayse Distinguished Service Award during the MSHSAA Boys Golf Championships.

The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) is pleased to announce the results of the 2026 Annual Ballot. The following proposals were voted on by the member schools.

The University of Missouri School of Music was presented with the Mal Mayse Distinguished Service Award during the 74th State Music Festival.

Dr. Eric Morris was presented with the Mal Mayse Distinguished Service Award during the 2026 MSHSAA Speech & Debate Championships award ceremony.

The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) held its regularly scheduled board meeting on April 10-11, 2026.

The University of Missouri will host the 74th Missouri State High School Activity Association (MSHSAA) State Music Festival April 30 to May 2.

Dr. Kerwin Urhahn was presented with the Irvin A. Keller Award at the MIAAA Spring Conference Banquet, recognizing a career defined by leadership, service and a lasting impact on interscholastic athletics in Missouri.

Dave Fox was presented with the Mal Mayse Distinguished Service Award during the MSHSAA Basketball Show-Me Showdown, recognizing more than four decades of dedication to education, coaching and the promotion of high school athletics in Missouri.

The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Board of Directors met for its regularly scheduled board meeting on March 13 at Mizzou Arena. The Board addressed a range of topics impacting member schools across the state.

Former MSHSAA Board Member Paul Sulser was presented with the Mal Mayse Distinguished Service Award during the MSHSAA Basketball Show-Me Showdown.

Partnership with CoxHealth gives Springfield-based regional health system presenting partner rights to MSHSAA's Springfield-area championship events, including Boys and Girls Tennis, Fall and Spring Softball, and Baseball. In addition, CoxHealth becomes an Official Health Care Partner of MSHSAA.

Play will resume at 6 p.m. CT on Wednesday, March 4 at Hannibal High School after a MSHSAA investigation determined that proper procedures were not followed in addressing a potential correctable scoring error and the subsequent on-site protest.

Greg Stahl was presented with the Mal Mayse Distinguished Service Award during the MSHSAA Wrestling Championships, recognizing a career defined by leadership, vision and lifelong dedication to high school athletics in Missouri.
