MSHSAA Board Meeting Summary: April 10-11

OSAGE BEACH – The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) held its regularly scheduled board meeting on April 10-11 in the Compass Rose Ballroom at the Margaritaville Lake Resort.

The MSHSAA Board of Directors approved one new member school.
  • Columbia Academy for Learning and Enrichment (CALE)
CALE will be eligible to participate in MSHSAA sports and activities starting on July 1, 2026.

The Board also conducted a final review of the 2026 Annual Ballot, which was released to schools on Monday and will remain open until Friday, April 24. The results of the Annual Ballot will be posted to the MSHSAA website later this spring.

“The Annual Ballot is a part of our annual governance process,” MSHSAA Executive Director Dr. Jennifer Rukstad said. “This is how our schools govern their own Association. Through this process, our members create and revise the rules that guide us. Every school has a voice, and every vote matters, ensuring that our Association is truly led by its member schools.”

In addition, the Board approved recommendations from the Sports Medicine, Swimming & Diving and Wrestling Advisory Committees. Specific information on those Board actions will be available here in the future.

The Board is scheduled to meet again in June.
