Nov. 13, 2003 Meeting Summary

1. Went on record to support the elimination of the travel limitation of 250 miles for all one-day multi-school activities due to the fact that contests such as a cross country invitational take less time to complete than a single football or basketball game. (Approved)

2. Recommend that an item regarding the policy that MSHSAA members schools shall only participate against like member schools as a “Point of Emphasis” on the agendas of all remaining 2003-04 rules meetings. (Approved)

3. Recommend that the number of Class 4 teams that qualify/advance from each sectional meet to the State meet from four to five beginning with the 2004-05 school year. (Denied)
