November 10, 2005 Meeting Summary

Held November 10, 2005

1. Recommend that one additional Volleyball Rules Meeting be held in Kansas City each fall due to attendance increasing beyond the capacity of one site. (Approved)

2. Recommend that the Board alter the qualification procedures for district and state series volleyball to allow two teams to advance from each district tournament to eight-team sectionals. One team would qualify from each bracketed sectional to the state tournament. The number of sectional sites would remain the same; therefore, four teams per class would continue to qualify for the state tournament. (Denied)
