1. Recommend expanding the possible district tournament dates to include the Monday prior to the Monday of the MSHSAA Golf Championships and to use the Tuesday and Wednesday preceding the state tournament as possible rain dates. (Denied)

2. Recommend allowing the use of range finders in high school golf that measure distance only. The use of devices that gauge or measure other conditions that might affect a player’s play (e.g., wind or gradient) is not permitted. (Approved)

3. Recommend assistant coaches receive a free gallery pass for one day of the State Tournament in exchange for working the other day of the tournament. Assistant coaches are not permitted to coach the athletes as per USGA Rules. (Approved)

4. Recommend allowing the qualifiers for the MSHSAA Golf Championships the use of the putting green and driving range at the state course on the Sunday of the coaches meeting in addition to their one practice round in the event the practice round was taken on a previous day. (Approved)

5. Recommend that MSHSAA By-Law 231.2c, Amateur Awards, merchandise value be increased and that this be a topic at the Area Meetings in January and an item on the February Questionnaire and the Annual Ballot. A suggested increase would be from $25 to $100. (Approved)

6. Recommend increasing the number of MGA (Boys) and MWGA (Girls) rules officials at all State Golf Tournament sites from two to four officials. (Approved)
