MSHSAA Adjusts Remaining Schedule For Spring Softball Championships

The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) has adjusted the remaining schedule of the 2025 Spring Softball Championships due to inclement weather.

The Class 2 Semifinal matchup between Kennett and Diamond was officially concluded by the umpires due to inclement weather, in accordance with Section 4.2 of the NFHS Softball Rules Book.

“If a game ends because of weather conditions, or darkness interferes with play so that the game is called (ended) by the umpire, it is a regulation game provided five full innings have been played.”

At the end of five innings, Diamond led Kennett 8-7, making it the final result.

The schedule tomorrow will go as follows.
  • Class 1 Third Place Game (will resume): 10 a.m.
  • Class 2 Third Place Game: 70 minutes after the conclusion of the Class 1 Third Place Game
  • Class 1 Championship Game: 70 minutes after the conclusion of the Class 2 Third Place Game
  • Class 2 Championship Game: 70 minutes after the conclusion of the Class 1 Championship Game

The spectator gates will open at 9 a.m.

MSHSAA will continue to monitor conditions closely and communicate any further changes as early as possible.
