Track and Field Postseason Reaches Fever Pitch

The competition continues to get tougher for boys and girls track and field participants around the state.  This Saturday will bring District meets for Class 3 and Class 4 schools as well as Sectional meets for Class 1 and Class 2 schools.

Sectionals for Class 3 and Class 4 schools will be held on Saturday, May 24.

The 82nd MSHSAA Track & Field Championships at Jefferson City's Dwight T. Reed Stadium begin May 16-17 for Class 1 and Class 2, while the Class 3 and Class 4 finals take place May 23-24.

Boys Golf Championships Set for Monday and Tuesday

The 69th annual MSHSAA Boys Golf Championships will take place Monday and Tuesday in the Springfield area with more than 500 individual qualifiers and 46 qualifying teams vying for state honors.

The 36-hole event will take place at Silo Ridge Golf and Country Club in Bolivar for Class 1 schools, Deer Lake Golf Course in Springfield for Class 2, Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield for Class 3, and Island Green Golf Course in Republic for Class 4.  Complete results will be available at the conclusion of play each day.
