Debate Topics Policy Debate The topic for Policy Debate will be the national topic chosen by the NFHS Discussion and Debate Committee. Economic Inequality Resolved: The United States federal government should substantially increase fiscal redistribution in the United States by adopting a federal jobs guarantee, expanding Social Security, and/or providing a basic income. Lincoln-Douglas Debate The topic for Lincoln-Douglas Debate shall be the bi-monthly topic chosen by the NSDA (National Speech and Debate Association), which is released on the first day of the previous month. Public Forum Debate The topic for Public Forum Debate shall be the bi-monthly topic chosen by the NSDA (National Speech and Debate Association), which is released on the first day of the previous month.
