1. Recommend additional wording, “from any classification”, to Seeding Guidelines B-4-b and B-4-c of the Wrestling Manual.
B-4-b: A returning state champion or state place finisher in any weight class; from any classification.
B-4-c: A returning district champion or runner-up at the same or adjacent weight class; from any classification.
2. Recommend that the NWCA Weigh-in Form is the ONLY permitted weigh-in form to be used at weigh-ins for all contests.
3. Recommend to continue using the NWCA Auto Seed Program at four district tournaments for assisting with determining common opponent seeding criteria for the 2013 post season.
4. Recommend that the MSHSAA “strongly” recommend that all districts make an attempt to secure a physician (M.D./D.O.) for both days of district tournament weigh-ins.
5. Recommend additional wording, “Current Year” on item Q, page 6-7 of the MSHSAA Wrestling Manual.
Q. Wrestler Appearance and Health: This written documentation must be on the Current Year MSHSAA Wrestling Skin Condition Report Form.
6. Recommend adding a new Item F on page 14 of the MSHSAA Wrestling Manual and change current item F to item G.
-New F. If an unseeded wrestler is scratched from the district tournament resulting in a bye the bracket will be redrawn so all remaining wrestlers would have equal opportunity for drawing a bye.
7. Recommend to discontinue using the random draw for the starting weight class for the finals at the state tournament.
8. Recommend that Missouri schools traveling to out of state event, that is sanctioned as necessary, may allow wrestlers to use the weight allowances permitted by the host state at weigh-ins.
9. Recommend using 1 ½ minute periods for middle school wrestling matches.
