1.    Went on record to recommend that all coaches encourage their students to develop original interpretations of their selections. (Approved)

2.    Recommend that district managers inform all judges that they should excuse themselves from rounds where they may have a conflict of interest with contestants or schools and, in such situations, a judge should notify the judge coordinator. (Approved)

3.    Recommend that the possibility of public broadcasting covering the final round of Public Forum Debate at the State Tournament be investigated. (Approved)

4.    Recommend that a fine for coaches failing to fulfill their judging assignments at the State Speech, Debate, and Drama Tournament be set at $50. (Approved)

5.    Recommend that all coaches be required to be available to judge one round beyond the elimination of their student(s) in debate and individual events at the district tournaments. (Approved)

6.    Recommend that the following policy be added to the MSHSAA Speech, Debate, and Drama Manual: “No judge shall judge the same student in the same individual event more than once in the same tournament.” (Approved)

7.    Recommend that the start time for the first round of the individual events on Saturday of the State Tournament be set at 9:00 a.m., instead of 9:30 a.m., in order to minimize scheduling conflicts with the finals of the One-Act Play and Readers Theatre events. (Approved)
