Dec. 6, 2007 Meeting Summary

Held December 6, 2007

** 1.    Recommend that the per person lodging allowance for teams that travel to sectional, quarterfinal, or semifinal games when lodging is authorized be increased from $11 to $15 per person.

***2. Recommend that the tie breaker for the second qualifying team from each district be the result of the head-to-head game during district play and the host team in the second round of the state playoffs be the district winner if two teams from the same district play each other.

Amend: Recommend that the tie breaker for the second qualifying team from each district be the result of the head to head game during district play and the host team in the second round of the state playoffs be the district winner.

3.    Recommend that the Athletic Directors Advisory Committee be referred an item to discuss amending MSHSAA By-Law 306 to allow high school facilities to be used for all-star events.

***4. Recommend that the starting time for the 8-Man championship at the Dome be scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. depending upon the television schedule for the three 11-Man championship games on Friday and Dome operation duties and that the coaches meeting for the 8-Man coaches be conducted on Thursday evening at the host hotel.
