**1. Recommend that a basketball pre-season jamboree
be allowable under the following guidelines. (See Attached)
2. Recommend that an e-mail reminder be sent to
all basketball coaches prior to the deadline for submitting official
recommendations for the state and district tournaments. The reminder should also include the
Officials Recommendation Forms.
3. Recommend that the Class 1-3 three-day state
tournament format stay the same.
4. Recommend that the committee continue to
study alternative formats for the Class 1-3 state tournament.
***5. Recommend that an item be added to the
questionnaire regarding interest in having six classes in basketball.
Amended: Recommend that the addition of a sixth class
in basketball be presented at the 2008-09 Area Meetings.
*6. Recommend that all MSHSAA head basketball coaches
are allowed free entry into the basketball state tournament through the pass
gate.
7. Recommend that MSHSAA allow team rosters to
be adjusted during the sectional, quarterfinal and finals of the basketball
tournament.
