ONLINE STATE ENTRY PROCESS
SPEECH, DEBATE, and DRAMA
A school will only be able to enter students into state
events if they have qualified from the District State,
Debate, and Drama Tournament (this is actually a confirmation/
declaration process).
1.
Go to www.mshsaa.org.
2.
Select “Schools” and log in.
3.
In the center column, select “State Qualifiers.”
4.
Click on “Speech and Debate.”
5.
There will be as many as four items (Rosters,
Scheduling Form, One-Act Play, and Readers Theatre) to select and complete in
order to be entered in the State Tournament.
You must complete each item that appears. SEE THE 2010 MSHSAA SPEECH, DEBATE, AND DRAMA
MANUAL FOR ENTRY DEADLINE FOR THE STATE TOURNAMENT.
6.
Select “Rosters.”
a. Click
on “Copy from Districts.”
b. Click
“Edit” if you need to change selections or to make substitutions in “team”
events.
c. Click
“Remove” if you are going to drop an event for State.
d. Click
“Submit” and then “Mark as Complete.”
7.
Select “Schedule Form.”
a. Fill
in all required information (most items have drop-down options).
b. Click
“Submit.”
c. Click
“Mark as Complete.”
8.
Select “Readers Theatre” and/or “One-Act Play.”
a. Verify
the information appearing.
b. Click
“Submit.”
c. Click
“Mark as Complete.”
9.
Exit and your state entries have been completed.
