1    Went on record in support of the 3200 meter runs remaining in their current places in the schedule of events at the State Championships, with the stipulation that the events would be re-scheduled to a cooler time of the day on a case-by-case basis whenever deemed necessary by the on-site medical staff per wet-bulb readings. (Approved)

2.    Recommend that the formula for determining the district meet qualifying standards be changed from the average of the sixth place performance for each event from the State meets of the past three years to the average of the eighth place performance for events that do not conduct preliminaries and to the average of the eighth fastest qualifying performance to the finals for events that do conduct preliminaries for each event from the State meets of the past three years. (Approved)

3.    Recommend that all participants in the pole vault be required to weigh-in at the district, sectional, and State meets beginning with the 2007-08 track and field season and that such weigh-ins be conducted by the head field event referee in conjunction with the pole vault verification procedure utilizing certified, calibrated scales and with each participant wearing his/her competition uniform and shoes. 4.    Went on record in support of all pole vault coaches and officials completing an approved pole vault educational and safety program. (Approved)

5.    Recommend that the seeding of the preliminary heats at the State Championships be changed from the current circle-seed method to the alternating circle-seed method (NFHS Track and Field Rule 5-6-5d example #2) in order to eliminate the possibility of all four advancers from one sectional meet being assigned to the same preliminary heat when they are the four fastest qualifiers. (Approved)

6.    Recommend that the javelin event be permitted to be contested at regular season meets provided that the administration of the host school approves the inclusion of the event in its meet and accepts the liability inherent to the event. (Tabled for Further Study)
