1.    Went on record in appreciation to the University of Missouri-Columbia, Hickman High School, and Rock Bridge High School for the past and future use of their facilities for the MSHSAA State Speech, Debate, and Drama Tournament. (Approved)

2.    Recommend that school codes be used instead of school names on One-Act Play and Readers Theatre ballots and B-3 information forms. (Approved)

3.    Recommend that the NFL March Public Forum Debate topic be used instead of the April

topic in the state tournament beginning with the 2006-07 school year.

Amended:

Recommend that an item be placed on the Annual MSHSAA Questionnaire to determine if schools favor using the NFL March Public Forum Debate topic instead of the April topic in the state tournament beginning with the 2006-07 school year. (Approved as amended)

4.    Recommend that the first sentence of Section 6-G-1(c) in the MSHSAA Speech and Debate Manual regarding Duet Acting be amended to state: “Limit stage furnishings to two chairs and one table, which shall be provided by the tournament management only.” (Approved)

5.    Went on record to recommend that all coaches encourage their students to develop original interpretations of their selections. (Tabled)

6.    Went on record to encourage all coaches and judges to provide complete comments on ballots in order to make the experience as educational as possible. (Approved)

7.    Recommend that Section 6-D-4 in the MSHSAA Speech and Debate Manual regarding One-Act Play be amended to state: “Each play shall have approximately thirty minutes for set-up, rehearsal, and take-down, which may include music.” (Approved)
