ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSALS  – MSHSAA State Championship Venues – Wrestling; Track & Field; Cross Country; Volleyball; and Speech, Debate & Theatre

The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Board of Directors requests proposals from event venues and communities desiring to serve as host to the MSHSAA State Championships in the sports of Wrestling, Track & Field, Cross Country, Volleyball, Football; or the activity of Speech, Debate & Theatre.

Proposals will be accepted for hosting any or each of these events during the school years 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2022-23 (Track & Field, Football and Wrestling); or the school years 2019-20, 2020-21, 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 (Cross Country, Volleyball and Speech, Debate & Theatre). Venues are not required to propose or to host each year.  However, in evaluating proposals the Board of Directors reserves the right to consider the benefits of comprehensive, long-term commitments.

Member schools are encouraged to share this request of the various RFPs with local convention and tourism agencies, or any venues which may be interested and capable of hosting one of these championships. These events could have measurable economic benefit for the hosting community, and consequently may generate collaborative support from and within the community. The Association's goal is to conduct all Championship Events in a manner and facility that gives the participating schools and students the best experience possible. 

Proposals must be returned as directed in the proposal packet, in hard copy or electronically, prior to 11:00 a.m., CST, Monday, October 16, 2017, to be considered. On October 16, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. CST, all proposals received will be publicly opened. All parties are invited to attend the public opening. Please provide notice to the Association office if intending to attend. Consideration and action by the MSHSAA Board of Directors is scheduled for the November 29, 2017 meeting.
