1.
Recommend that the
starting procedure, as stated in the NFHS Officials Rule Book, be included as
part of the Cross Country Online Rules Review, starting with the 2011-12 school
year.
2.
Recommend that the MSHSAA staff
look into the earliest possible release date for fall sports, which in turn
would move up the district/sectional site release.
3.
Recommend that the
scoring of the cross country meets continue the same as stated in the NFHS Rule
Book Section 9-2, Articles 1-6.
4.
Recommend that the
official start time of a cross country race be set at “5 minutes before the
start gun,” as per NFHS Rule Book Section 9-3 Article 1.
5.
Recommend that
schools packets be available for pick-up starting at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday
morning for the Cross Country Championships, starting with the 2011-12 school
year.
