Summary of Sports Medicine Advisory Committee
Held April 28, 2010
1. Recommend forming a Sports Medicine
Sub-Committee on Concussions to get presentation ready by mid-June.
2. Recommend that wrestling coaches not be allowed
to be certified weight assessors.
3. Recommend Board Certified Dermatologist be
present and Athletic Trainers or Physicians performing skin checks at State Wrestling on
the first day.
** 4. MSHSAA to recommend that all wrestlers
shower after every match.
5. Recommend to not waive the conditioning day
requirements for sports.
