Summary of the Basketball Advisory Committee
Held April 17, 2009 at the MSHSAA Office, Columbia, MO
***1. Recommend that a basketball pre-season scrimmage
be allowable under the following guidelines.

Amended: Recommend that a basketball pre-season
scrimmage proposal be placed on the Annual Questionnaire and presented at the
2009-10 Area Meetings.
2. Recommend that a point of emphasis for
2009-10 include free throw lane entrance and hand checking.
3. Recommend to change the wording in the
Basketball Manual (Appendix A - A.9.) regarding district site selection to
read, “A neutral site may be used provided there is prior approval from the
MSHSAA and majority agreement by participating schools.”
