the 2009-2010 topic for the Junior High Sportsmanship Essay Contest: “How can
good sportsmanship/citizenship have a positive effect on our community or
school?”

to continue with the basketball sportsmanship award.

to modify the current sportsmanship award to focus more on fan behavior rather
than the bench.

to expand the sportsmanship award to additional championships. (committee
recommended that this topic be discussed at area meetings)

to include the sportsmanship award rubric in each of semifinalist packet.

to bring a leadership school representative to the football championships for
on-field recognition.
