Stunting Not Allowed on Hard Surfaces
7/15/2009

The National Federation Spirit Rule 2-1-4 states: “Performing surfaces shall be suitable and free from objects.”  At football games, stunting would NOT be allowed on gravel/chat rock or cinder tracks.  Stunting would be permitted on appropriate mats, grass, rubberized and soft-yielding surfaces.  Concrete surfaces are NEVER allowed.

It should also be noted that stunting is not allowed on any surface if it is wet.  Cheer coaches must carefully consider the cheering surface in regard to safety, as even an all weather track would be considered unsafe if it were wet.
