MSHSAA ANNOUNCES GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP VENUES


The MSHSAA Golf Advisory Committee met on Thursday, May 26th, to review all of the information contained in the RFP received from each site interested in hosting one or more of the golf championships for the next four school years. The major focal point of the committee’s deliberations was the quality of the courses and the difficulty of each course in relation to the ability level of the players in each of the different classes and the difference in ability between the female and male golfers. Other factors included parking, restroom facilities, clubhouse, shelter areas, etc.

The recommendation of the Golf Advisory Committee was sent to the MSHSAA Board of Directors. The Board made the final decision at the MSHSAA Board Meeting on June 16th. The following is the recommendation that was approved for the state golf championships for the next four school years.
